Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Oracle DBA to manage, maintain, and optimize our Oracle database environments. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, performance, security, and reliability of databases while supporting business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain Oracle Database systems
Monitor database performance and tune queries for optimal efficiency
Perform database backup and recovery using RMAN
Manage database security, users, roles, and permissions
Handle database upgrades, patches, and migrations
Troubleshoot production issues and provide root cause analysis
Ensure high availability using RAC, Data Guard, or standby databases
Automate routine DBA tasks using shell scripting or PL/SQL
Work closely with development and infrastructure teams
Maintain documentation for database configurations and processes

Required Skills

Strong experience with Oracle Database (11g/12c/19c or later)
Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL
Experience with backup & recovery (RMAN)
Knowledge of performance tuning and query optimization
Familiarity with Oracle RAC and Data Guard
Understanding of Linux/Unix environments
Experience in database monitoring tools

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
Knowledge of automation tools (Ansible, Terraform)
Oracle certification (OCA/OCP)
Exposure to DevOps practices

Soft Skills

Strong problem-solving abilities
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

Experience with database security and auditing
Familiarity with other databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
Scripting in Python or Bash
