Position: Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Financial Reporting, with excellent organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
- Verify and cross-check supplier payment applications with commercial team.
- Apply deductions/back charges and manage supplier security cheques.
- Prepare cheques, initiate online bank transfers, and maintain detailed payment records.
- Collect tax invoices/receipt vouchers prior to releasing payments.
- Maintain and update the Financial Control Sheet (FCS).
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations and support month/year-end closing.
Accounts Receivable
- Prepare and issue client invoices in coordination with the commercial team.
- Follow up with clients and suppliers for payments and commissions.
- Process received payments, issue tax invoices and receipts, and update records.
- Maintain balance sheet and FCS updates.
Payroll
- Compare MOL sheets with employee records and process monthly salaries.
- Prepare WPS files, initiate bank transfers, and handle advance salary requests.
- Manage overtime, leave salary, deductions, and cash salary releases.
- Resolve employee payroll queries efficiently.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare revenue, budget, payables, and receivables reports.
- Monitor and manage petty cash, reimbursements, and departmental expenses.
- Record purchase invoice payments in Sage & Propel.
- Maintain supplier bank details database with accuracy.
- Track and process ENOC, Salik, DARB, and RTA fines and top-ups.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience as an Accountant in the UAE (construction/fit-out industry experience preferred).
- Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, Propel) and MS Office.
- Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations, WPS, and MOL requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
