College Profile:
The College of Health Science (CHS) was founded in 2016 following a 30-year success story as a department within various colleges at Qatar University. CHS is the national provider of high quality health sciences education and research in Qatar and offers undergraduate (BSc) programs in biomedical sciences, human nutrition, physiotherapy, speech and language pathology and public health, as well as graduate programs in biomedical science (MSc), public health (MPH) and a doctoral (PhD) program. It is part of the wider QU Health Cluster that includes the Colleges of Pharmacy, Nursing, Medicine and Dental Medicine - http://www.qu.edu.qa/health.

Department Profile:
The Department of Rehabilitation Sciences (DRS) was founded in 2018. It offers a 4-year BSc. in Physiotherapy and a BSc. in Speech and Language pathology.
The BSc. Physiotherapy program is delivered in English. The curriculum is innovative and future oriented, thematic in nature, and moves away from the more traditional models of physiotherapist professional entry-level education by embracing critical pedagogy. The Department has an international faculty and a global perspective.
The Department seeks to appoint two - three (2-3) faculty members to commence their positions for the academic year 2026/2027 (or 2027/2028), and the successful candidates can commence duty as early as Spring 2027 or Fall 2027.

Duties & Responsibilities
The appointee will be expected to carry out the following activities, among others:
1.Deliver high-quality, innovative, student-centered teaching in both foundational and advanced courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
2.Contribute to conducting high quality research and developing research capacity within the Department.
3.Contribute to the stakeholder engagement within the professional community in support of teaching, research and professional development.
4.Contribute to various committees at the program, College, and University levels
5. Serve as student advisor.
6. Other responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Department

1. A cover letter. The letter should concisely outline the candidate's educational background, the reputation of the university from which the highest degree was obtained, and the mode of study during the PhD program (e.g., in person, hybrid, etc.. and full-time or part-time). It should also summarize the candidate's teaching areas and expertise, particularly after completion of the terminal degree, and explain how these align with the position requirements. In addition, the letter may highlight research experience, indicators of academic excellence (e.g., Scopus H-index, peer-reviewed publications, awards), and contributions to the profession and any clinical experience.
2. A current Curriculum Vitae that clearly indicats the candidate's current position and academic rank, and providing a detailed timeline of educational background, academic and professional experience, notable research accomplishments, and academic service.
3. Three referees contact information (email addresses as well as their telephone contact).
4. Copy of highest earned credential (transcript of PhD degree or equivalent if graduated from an institution where coursework was completed. However, if no course work was completed, a copy of certificate letter from the Registrar can be provided).
