Job Purpose Statement:
The Assistant Manager plays a critical role in supporting the procurement, purchasing, and sourcing activities within the organization. They assist the Procurement Manager in developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services. The Assistant Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams, analyzes market trends, and contributes to process improvement initiatives.
Roles & Responsibility:
- Assist in developing and implementing procurement strategies, policies, and procedures to meet organizational goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze procurement requirements, specifications, and quality standards for goods and services.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, assess their capabilities, and maintain an updated supplier database.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable contracts and cost savings.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services and address any delivery or quality issues.
- Support the procurement process, including raising purchase requisitions, reviewing quotes, and issuing purchase orders.
- Monitor supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and service level agreements.
- Manage supplier performance evaluation and provide feedback to improve supplier relationships and performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and execute sourcing strategies, including supplier consolidation and strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Contribute to cost-saving initiatives through effective negotiation, value analysis, and supplier management.
- Report and Analyze procurement data and market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supplier optimization.
- Assist in managing relationships with internal stakeholders, providing procurement expertise and support as needed.
- Excite the tasks related to Source to Contract process and tasks related to procurement category management as per the Category management assignment.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives, such as streamlining procurement workflows and implementing procurement best practices.
- Conduct the sourcing via bidding, RFP,RFQ, RFI and leads a sourcing specialists by providing deep category expertise
- Assist in any other ad-hoc task assigned by the higher management.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes impacting procurement and sourcing.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Bachelor's in business, engineering, or a related field
