Job Summary
To grow substantially Aati Contract's current market position and achieve sustainable financial growth by understanding organizational strategic goals, build new / key customer relationships, identify new and ongoing business opportunities and maintain extensive knowhow on current and future market conditions.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities
- Contribute in the development of the Company's growth by providing input from the perspective of - business development ensuring that relevant targets & objectives are met.
- Understand the fundamental drivers of Aati Contract's business, and the business of its Clients, customers, partners and competitors and thereby form strategic alliances to foster long term value and growth.
- Maintain and regularly update a library of current and future clients, with updated contact details for distribution and discussion with the current Head of the business.
- Specifically acquire timeous and early knowledge of prospective projects in the market and region for Business Opportunities in the UAE.
- Identify market segments and new business opportunities, determine the business development strategy and implement the same to win business for the Company.
- Conduct market evaluation on new target clients, prospect for potential new client [target company list] forging strategic alliances and business relationships to ensure business growth.
- Initiate and complete proposals and presentation for new business opportunities leading to business growth and better project win rate.
- Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and trends.
- Using knowledge of the market and competitors, contribute to the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators.
- Through industry contacts and strategic alliances, provide for business intelligence to help design business strategies [commercial & execution] to maintain and sustain a competitive edge and ensure business growth.
- Ensure structured post bid feedback from the client on tenders especially on unsuccessful bids, feeding Management with knowhow on better bid rates / strategies, supply chain information etc.
- Engage with the Client on an independent post project completion review ensuring constructive feedback to the Execution team for remedial actions and as lessons learned.
- Manage, monitor and ensure business continuity especially in an economic downturn.
- Maintain and grow an excellent client relationship with existing and potential clients with regular monitoring and interaction with clients and consultants to ensure we are recognized as the preferred partner.
- Broaden the company's visibility in the market through social media platforms & industry events
Education/Certification and Continued Education
- Degree qualified (or relevant experience in BD in the UAE)
Years of Experience
- 6 years experience in interiors and fit-out with at least 4 year in a business development role.
- Knowledge of Interiors operations and should have won large commercial value projects independently.
- Wide contact base in the regional Interiors and Fit-out Industry with in-depth market knowledge in this sector.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Skilled in negotiating, closing, prospecting, and presentation skills.
- Portfolio and Bid management.
