Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Center Engineer with deep expertise in Cisco Data Center architectures to lead the design, implementation, and migration of our enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will hold a CCIE certification and possess extensive, hands-on experience deploying Cisco ACI fabrics, Nexus switching environments, and Cisco UCS compute platforms. You will play a critical role in data center transformation projects, ensuring high availability, security, and seamless virtualization integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Cisco ACI Deployment: Design, deploy, configure, and implement Cisco ACI fabric in enterprise data center environments using Leaf-Spine architecture.
- ACI Policy Management: Configure and manage advanced ACI policies including Tenants, VRFs, Bridge Domains, EPGs, Contracts, L3Out, and Application Profiles.
- Network Migration: Lead the migration planning and execution from traditional legacy network architectures to Cisco ACI.
- Switching & Infrastructure: Install, configure, and manage Cisco Nexus switches (9000, 7000, and 5000 series), utilizing VXLAN EVPN, vPC, OSPF, BGP, and static routing.
- Compute Administration: Deploy and administer Cisco UCS B-Series and C-Series servers, including Fabric Interconnects, Service Profiles, VLANs, VSANs, firmware upgrades, and UCS Manager.
- Virtualization Integration: Integrate Cisco ACI fabrics seamlessly with VMware vCenter, Hyper-V, or other enterprise virtualization platforms.
- Documentation & Governance: Prepare high-quality technical documentation, including High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), Method of Procedure (MOP), and As-Built documentation.
- Operations & Support: Perform lifecycle management (software upgrades, patching, health checks) and provide expert-level troubleshooting support during major implementation activities and maintenance windows.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Certifications (Highly Preferred):
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Data Center or CCIE Routing & Switching.
- Cisco Certified Specialist – ACI Implementation.
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) is a strong plus.
- Technical Experience:
- 5 to 10+ years of dedicated experience in Cisco Data Center networking.
- Minimum 5+ years of solid, hands-on Cisco ACI implementation experience in production environments.
- Proven track record of deploying Cisco UCS infrastructure.
- Core Protocols: Strong knowledge of VXLAN, EVPN, vPC, VLAN, STP, HSRP, OSPF, and BGP.
- Storage & Automation (Desirable):
- Familiarity with storage networking (SAN), Fibre Channel, and VSAN.
- Experience or familiarity with automation tools like Ansible, Python, or Terraform is a distinct advantage.
