Job Summary
The role is responsible for providing strategic leadership and overall management of high voltage (HV) electrical systems within facilities management operations. It ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient performance of substations, transformers, switchgear, and protection systems. The position drives operational excellence, system reliability, and long-term infrastructure improvements. It also leads engineering teams and ensures compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for all HV electrical systems across multiple facilities.
- Oversee operation, maintenance, and optimization of substations, transformers, switchgear, and protection systems.
- Develop and implement long-term maintenance strategies, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
- Lead system upgrades, retrofits, and integration of new HV technologies and infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance, load distribution, and reliability, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop engineering teams to ensure high technical competency and performance.
- Coordinate with utilities, vendors, contractors, and stakeholders on HV operations and projects.
- Ensure compliance with HV safety standards, regulatory requirements, and permit-to-work systems.
- Approve technical documentation, switching procedures, commissioning plans, and maintenance reports.
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of critical HV system failures and emergencies.
- Manage budgeting, resource planning, procurement, and vendor management for HV systems.
- Drive innovation and adoption of advanced technologies to enhance system reliability and efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum Experience
- 6-8 years of experience in high voltage electrical systems within facilities management, utilities, or industrial environments, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
