Civil Inspector

About the Role

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Civil Inspector to oversee the day-to-day operations on construction sites, ensuring that all civil works are executed in full compliance with design specifications, quality benchmarks, and safety regulations.

This key role requires a hands-on professional with a strong understanding of civil engineering practices and the ability to supervise site activities, coordinate with contractors and consultants, and maintain consistent progress on the ground. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of construction excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily inspections of civil works (earthworks, concrete pouring, formwork, masonry, finishes, etc.).
• Verify compliance with approved drawings, ITPs, and method statements.
• Witness on-site material testing and quality checks.
• Inspect materials delivered to site to confirm compliance with submittals.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of civil materials.
• Check for workmanship quality and report any deficiencies.
• Maintain inspection logs, site observation reports, and daily activity reports.
• Report non-conformances and follow up on corrective actions.
• Assist in the preparation of snag lists and punch lists.
• Coordinate with Senior Civil Engineer, QAQC Engineer, and contractor supervisors.
• Follow up on rectification works and confirm resolution.
• Assist in verifying completed works for billing and payment certification.
• Report unsafe practices and coordinate with HSE officers to enforce safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in site supervision or civil inspection on construction projects.
• Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Thorough knowledge of civil engineering standards, construction methodologies, materials, and quality control procedures.
• Familiarity with industry codes and regulations.
