Job Description

Role OverviewKey Responsibilities

  • Partner with commercial and sales teams to build, challenge and refine budgets, forecasts and business cases.
  • Prepare monthly management reporting, including variance analysis of revenue, gross margin and operating costs against budget and forecast.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support pricing, customer profitability and investment decisions.
  • Analyse sales performance by event, customer and region, and clearly communicate the drivers behind the numbers.
  • Support the annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting cycles, consolidating inputs from across the business.
  • Track and report on key commercial KPIs, identifying risks, opportunities and corrective actions.
  • Evaluate capital expenditure and new business proposals, providing ROI, payback and sensitivity analysis.
  • Identify and lead opportunities to automate manual reporting and processes, using tools such as Power Query, Python or AI-driven assistants to improve speed, accuracy and data quality.
  • Champion the adoption of new data, analytics and AI tools within the Commercial Finance team, building dashboards and self-service reporting that put insight directly in the hands of the business.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies and applicable UAE financial regulations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualification (or active progression towards) such as ACCA, CIMA, CFA or CPA is strongly preferred.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, FP&A or commercial finance, ideally within a fast-paced commercial environment.
  • Demonstrable experience business-partnering with non-finance stakeholders.
  • Prior experience in the UAE or wider GCC region is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modelling; proficiency with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate complex data into clear, concise recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with confidence presenting to senior leadership.
  • Experience with BI and visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) is desirable.
  • A genuine passion for AI, automation and data, with curiosity about emerging tools (e.g. generative AI assistants, Python, SQL, Power Query) and how they can transform finance.
  • Commercial acumen, attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
