We are looking for a Commis II (multi cuisine) to join our kitchen team and support the senior chefs in the preparation and cooking of dishes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts, be eager to learn, and be able to follow instructions precisely. This role is vital in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and that high-quality meals are delivered to our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients and cooking of menu items under the supervision of senior chefs.
- Follow recipes and presentation standards as directed by the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen areas.
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items.
- Assist in inventory management and stock rotation.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety practices.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to improve skills.
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by senior chefs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Commis II or similar role in a professional kitchen.
- Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school is a plus.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards in food preparation.
