Job Description

We are looking for a Commis II (multi cuisine) to join our kitchen team and support the senior chefs in the preparation and cooking of dishes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts, be eager to learn, and be able to follow instructions precisely. This role is vital in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and that high-quality meals are delivered to our guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients and cooking of menu items under the supervision of senior chefs.
  • Follow recipes and presentation standards as directed by the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen areas.
  • Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items.
  • Assist in inventory management and stock rotation.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety practices.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to improve skills.
  • Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by senior chefs.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Commis II or similar role in a professional kitchen.
  • Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards in food preparation.
