Key activities

Overall goals / Typical measures

Customers - Internal

Other Departments in all entities

Ensure support to departments across all businesses by:

-supporting AOP preparation.

-preparing monthly reforecast.

-generating cost/revenue/profitability/productivity reports.

-providing decision making support.

-reviewing Capital Acquisition Application submissions.

-evaluating unplanned items.

Regional Office

Ensure timely liaison with Regional/Global for monthly profit and loss, OCPM variance reporting

Where required, provide rolling forecast for the year and/or next 12 months based on latest actual months results for each business entity

Where required, ensure BCAs are prepared accurately in accordance with finance principles, global, regional guidelines.

Timely and accurate submission of Annual Operating Plan.

Timely and accurate submission of monthly reforecast.

Stakeholders - External


Liaise with external tax/audit consultants where required,

Timely and accurate external audit

Timely submission of analysis to external auditors.


Management Accounting Management

Provide analysis of monthly actual financial results after closure of accounts to explain variances.


-Activity Based Costing.

-implementation of new regional tools/processes.

-post capital acquisition.

-other 3-6 month ad-hoc projects.

Ascertain the realisation of the economic benefits as stated in the capital acquisition application.

Drive innovation and process improvements.

Participate in the Finance Re-engineering Team and assist in project documentation.

Ensure the approved policies and procedures are fully and correctly implemented.

Support the relationship with internal auditors.

Timely and accurate provision of monthly analysis and reforecast.

Timely and accurate financial reports, statements and AOP.

Completion of projects on time and within budget.

Expected years of experience

3 - 5 years experience in a similar capacity as Accountant for a large high volume service-typed business (preferable).

1-2 years supervisory experience (preferable).

Educational Qualifications

Degree in Accountancy (or equivalent) including Taxatiion

Professional accountancy qualification (CPA, CA or equivalent).
