Job Description



1. Key Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct data collection and validation processes to ensure accuracy in financial and medical economic reports.
  • Analyze healthcare cost trends and identify key areas for financial improvement.
  • Research industry benchmarks and best practices for medical economic analysis.
  • Collect and organize data related to healthcare expenditures, claims, and pricing models.
  • Evaluate financial reports to identify discrepancies and propose corrective actions.
  • Interpret statistical data related to medical economics and present findings in a structured format.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial models for cost projections and budget planning.
  • Report inconsistencies in financial and economic data to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Calculate financial metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) for economic analysis.
  • Communicate findings to internal stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
  • Support cross-functional teams in the implementation of financial efficiency initiatives.


Quality & Excellence Management:

  • Document standard operating procedures for data collection and reporting.
  • Observe compliance with financial and economic regulations in healthcare.
  • Present recommendations for process improvements based on financial insights.
  • Verify data accuracy and integrity in economic reports before submission.

3. Qualifications and Experience


Preferred Educational Qualifications and Professional Certifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, Actuarial Science, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
  • Master's Degree in Health Economics, Public Health, Business Administration (MBA), or a related field is preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP), Certified Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) Professional, Actuarial / Financial Modelling Certification, or equivalent is advantageous.


Experience         

  • A minimum of 0-2 years of experience in medical economics, healthcare analytics, actuarial science, or financial modelling in the healthcare sector.
