Cost Accountant

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Cost Accountant based in Qesm 1st Nasser City. The Cost Accountant will handle day-to-day accounting operations, including preparing cost analyses, managing journal entries. The role involves conducting detailed financial reviews to ensure cost control, accuracy, and compliance with company policies, as well as providing insights and recommendations to enhance financial performance.

Duties

• Prepare and analyze production and raw material costs.
• Monitor inventory movements and periodically assess inventory costs.
• Prepare cost reports and compare them with budget forecasts.
• Assist in profitability reporting and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate with other departments to improve production and cost processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 2-3 years of experience in accounting and cost accounting, preferably in the apparel or textiles sector.
• Proficiency in Cost Accounting.
• Proficiency in Journal Entries (Accounting), general ledger posting, and account reconciliation.
• Foundational Finance knowledge, including budgeting, forecasting, and margin analysis.
• Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
• Strong Analytical Skills and the ability to manage financial data efficiently
• Proficiency in ERP system (e.g., Odoo) and Excel.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
