Job Description

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Costuming Attendant is responsible for supporting the daily operation of the Costuming department through the logistics, laundering, pressing, preparation, dressing, organization, and quality control of costume assets utilized across live entertainment productions, character programs, seasonal events, special events, and guest-facing experiences. This role plays a vital part in ensuring all costumes are maintained to the highest presentation standards and are readily available to meet the operational needs of performers and entertainment teams.

Working closely with the Costuming Management, Costume Technicians, Seamstresses, Performers, and other members of the Entertainment team, the Costuming Attendant helps preserve costume quality, performer appearance standards, and overall show presentation. The position is responsible for maintaining costume readiness through effective garment care, inventory organization, and adherence to established quality and operational procedures.

As an active member of the Entertainment team, the Costuming Attendant contributes to the successful delivery of world-class guest experiences by supporting production and event execution, maintaining artistic integrity, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering a professional and collaborative work environment.

ROLE SCOPE

Daily Operation Duties

  • Support daily costume issuance and return processes for performers and entertainment team members.
  • Perform laundry, pressing, steaming, hand sewing, minor repairs on costumes as needed
  • Organize and maintain costume storage, wardrobe areas, and issue locations to ensure efficiency and accessibility.
  • Assist with costume changes, backstage support, and operational requirements during performances and special events as needed.
  • Ensure costumes are properly labeled, sorted, and stored according to departmental standards.
  • Support rehearsals, special projects, seasonal activations, and entertainment events.
  • Maintain high standards of costume presentation, cleanliness, and overall quality.
  • Perform routine quality checks to ensure costumes consistently meet entertainment and brand standards.
  • Help preserve production values by ensuring costumes accurately reflect the intended artistic and creative vision.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements in costume care, organization, and operational processes.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with performers and colleagues across all departments.
  • Support knowledge sharing and contribute to a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
  • Communicate operational concerns, costume issues, and inventory requirements in a timely manner.

Health & Safety and Compliance

  • Follow all health, safety, and operational procedures related to laundry equipment, garment care, chemicals, and workplace practices.
  • Ensure costume facilities, workspaces, and storage areas remain clean, organized, and safe.
  • Comply with departmental policies, company standards, and operational procedures at all times.
  • Support sustainability and asset preservation initiatives through proper garment handling and care practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

  • Higher secondary or equivalent education
  • Minimum of 1 year work experience with laundry
  • Experience in laundry operations, wardrobe support, garment care, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of fabric care, laundering, steaming, pressing, and basic garment maintenance techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • Basic understanding of inventory control and asset handling practices.
  • Positive attitude with a strong customer service and team-oriented mindset.

Desirable:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Previous experience working in a hotel's laundry or uniform department
  • Experience within theme parks, entertainment venues, theatre, hospitality, or live event environments.
  • Familiarity with costume and wardrobe operations.
  • Knowledge of costume fabrics, trims, and specialty garment care requirements.
  • Experience working backstage or supporting live productions and events.
  • Understanding of costume presentation standards and performer support requirements.
  • Experience using inventory tracking systems or wardrobe management tools.
  • Basic sewing or garment repair skills.
  • Ability to support large-scale events, seasonal activations, and entertainment productions.
