The roleData Analyst, Operations — Junior
Dubai, UAE · Full-time · Operations team (working closely with Marketing)
We're looking for a Junior Data Analyst to join our Operations team and help build a data-driven culture across the business. You'll work at the intersection of Operations and Marketing, turning raw data from our e-commerce, marketplace, and advertising platforms into clean, reliable reporting and insight. This is a hands-on role for someone early in their career who codes in Python, loves untangling messy data, and wants to grow into owning analytics end-to-end. You'll learn our full data stack and have real impact from day one.
You'll work across our real data stack: multiple Shopify storefronts, Amazon, paid media on Meta and Google, Google Sheets, and a BigQuery warehouse — stitched together with Python.
What you'll do- Build and maintain Python scripts that pull data from our Shopify stores, ad platforms (Meta Ads, Google Ads), Amazon, and internal Google Sheets, and combine it into clean, analysis-ready datasets
- Write SQL queries (BigQuery) to explore sales, spend, and inventory data across our DTC and marketplace channels
- Automate recurring reports and dashboards for Operations and Marketing — cutting down manual, repetitive work
- Reconcile numbers across sources (e.g., Shopify orders vs. ad-platform spend vs. our finance sheets) and flag discrepancies early
- Turn business questions into analyses — clear charts, tables, and takeaways the team can act on
- Document data flows and reports so the team can rely on them and reproduce them
- Support Operations projects — analyzing current processes and helping identify improvements
What you bring- Bachelor's degree — STEM or a quantitative field preferred
- 0–3 years of experience in a data, analytics, or operations role (internships and strong personal projects count)
- Working knowledge of Python for data — comfortable with pandas and reading/writing data, and eager to learn how to call APIs
- Foundational SQL and strong, advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills
- A basic understanding of e-commerce or consumer-goods business operations
- Detail-oriented and genuinely curious — you want to know why the numbers say what they say
Nice to have- Exposure to REST or GraphQL APIs (authentication, pagination, rate limits)
- Familiarity with Shopify data, ad-platform reporting (Meta / Google), or Amazon Seller data
- Experience with BigQuery or another cloud data warehouse
- A data-viz tool (Looker Studio, Power BI, Tableau) or Airtable
Who you are- Proactive and data-oriented, with a knack for articulating what's possible and moving fast to make it real
- A clear communicator, both written and verbal
- A team player with a self-starter spirit who builds strong working relationships
- Comfortable asking questions and learning quickly in a fast-moving DTC environment
What we offer- Competitive salary
- Health insurance coverage, including dental
- Paid annual leave
- Your birthday off
- A collaborative, fast-moving team and the chance to shape a data-driven culture from the ground up
