Strategic Mindset & Communication - The Sr. Consultant is a versatile leader, equally fluent in communicating with senior executives and operations staff, and in orchestrating multidisciplinary teams through discussions into system-wide consensus. They build positive relationships with a wide range of leaders across the organization and are conscious of long-term business goals. The Sr. Consultant is both a strong presenter and listener. They are organizationally savvy, able to navigate overlapping or conflicting priorities across stakeholders. The Sr. Consultant is adaptable, adjusting their approach to respond to the situation and the culture.
Enterprise Leadership, Mentorship & Training - Establishes and leads virtual teams of clinical, business, and information services staff from across the system to drive consensus on data and analytical needs and priorities. Mentors junior staff and analytics community members.
Program Management & Facilitation - The Sr. Consultant leverages product and program management principles to drive the iterative creation of new data and analytical capabilities and assets for the system. This includes, but it not limited to consulting with business stakeholders to design and scope solutions, capturing and preparing project intake (demands), documenting business decisions, managing risks and scope, and updating customers on progress.
Delivery & Enablement - The Sr. Consultant delivers solutions and drives adoption with the business in order to achieve business objectives and realize value. They assess business adoption of delivered solutions. They provide end-user enablement and support, including high-touch customer service, communications, and the creation of reusable knowledge assets such as documentation and training content. The Sr. Consultant serves as the liaison between their end-user community and developers, helping to identify, scope, and prioritize ongoing program delivery.
Data Governance Expertise - Acts as an internal expert on data governance principles and best practices. Educates ALJ leaders and governance stakeholders on industry standards and successful approaches at a level appropriate to the intended audience.
Strong understanding of the data lifecycle
Hands-on experience with Data Governance activities:
o Defining, implementing, and operating a data governance bodies, including typical data governance policies, processes, and standards
o Creating data governance operating models and charters
o Defining and implementing data governance key performance indicators
o Operating data governance bodies
Working knowledge of data management industry best practices such as DAMA DMBOK, CMMI DMM, EDM Council DCAM
Ability to work with diverse stakeholder groups, develop, and implement data management standards, policies, and best practices
Experience developing data governance policies and procedures
Knowledge of the different Data Management Domains
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent; an engineering qualification will be an advantage
DAMA, D-AMA DMF, CDMP, CIPP, CIPM
Minimum 8-10 years of hands-on experience with Data Management.
