About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Database Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and optimize database systems that support business-critical applications and services. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in database administration, performance tuning, security management, backup and recovery, and troubleshooting complex database environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain database solutions to ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability.
- Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexes, and database structures.
- Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
- Implement database security policies, access controls, and compliance standards.
- Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support business applications.
- Perform database upgrades, patches, and migrations when required.
- Develop and maintain database documentation, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and availability across all systems.
- Proactively identify opportunities for database performance improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Database Administration or Database Engineering.
- Strong experience with Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, and/or PostgreSQL.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL, query optimization, and database tuning.
- Experience in backup and recovery management.
- Knowledge of database security and access management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English.
