Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
1. Platform Administration
- Install, configure, and manage Denodo components:
- Virtual DataPort (VDP)
- Data Catalog
- Scheduler Server
- Solution Manager
- Manage environment setup, configurations, upgrades, and patching
- Handle user access, roles, and security configurations
2. Platform Monitoring & Operations
- Monitor platform health using Diagnostic & Monitoring Tool
- Track query performance, cache usage, and system utilization
- Perform daily health checks and system audits
- Ensure platform availability aligned to SLA requirements
3. Application & Service Support
- Provide L1/L2 production support for Denodo services
- Troubleshoot query failures, service downtimes, and slow performance
- Restart services, manage threads, and resolve runtime issues on Tomcat
- Analyze logs for VDP, Scheduler, and Catalog services
4. Metadata & Database Management
- Manage metadata repository (SQL Server 2022)
- Ensure data lineage, catalog consistency, and metadata accuracy
- Monitor database performance, growth, and backup readiness
5. Performance & Optimization
- Optimize query execution, caching strategies, and federation performance
- Identify bottlenecks in virtualized data access
- Improve response times for BI and analytics workloads
6. Security & Governance
- Implement authentication and authorization controls
- Ensure data governance, lineage, and compliance
- Support audit, access control, and data security requirements
7. Deployment & Change Management
- Support code promotion and deployment via Solution Manager
- Manage configuration changes and environment synchronization
- Follow ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management
8. Documentation & Automation
- Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and operational documentation
- Automate routine tasks, monitoring, and health checks
- Document system architecture and environment details

Required Skills & Experience
- 4–8 years of experience in Denodo platform administration/support
- Strong knowledge of Denodo architecture and data virtualization
- Experience in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and monitoring
- Knowledge of SQL Server and metadata management
- Hands-on experience in Tomcat, Java-based applications, and logs analysis
- Experience in 24/7 production support environments
