We are seeking an experienced Deputy CEO with a strong operational background in software development companies. The successful candidate will oversee the company's day-to-day operations, ensuring the successful delivery of projects, operational excellence, and cross-functional alignment. This role will be responsible for driving execution across key operational areas, including Project Delivery, PMO, Procurement, Resource Management, Quality Assurance, Customer Success, and other shared business functions, while supporting the CEO in achieving the company's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the company's daily operations and ensure operational excellence.
- Lead and monitor project delivery to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Oversee the PMO and project governance framework.
- Manage procurement, vendor relationships, and contract execution.
- Optimize resource planning and utilization across projects.
- Establish and monitor operational KPIs and performance dashboards.
- Drive process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Work closely with Engineering, Product, Sales, Finance, and HR to ensure seamless execution.
- Identify operational risks and implement mitigation plans.
- Support the CEO in strategic planning and organizational growth.
Preferred Experience
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience, including at least 5 years in an executive operational role.
- Experience within a software development, technology services, IT consulting, digital transformation, or systems integration company.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale software delivery operations and PMOs.
- Strong experience in project portfolio management and delivery governance.
- Experience managing procurement, commercial operations, and vendor management.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and software development lifecycles.
- Demonstrated ability to scale operations while maintaining delivery quality and customer satisfaction.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and multiple business units.
- Excellent financial and commercial acumen, including budgeting and operational planning.
