Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Documentary Filmmaker role based in Dubai. The Documentary Filmmaker will plan, research, and develop documentary concepts that tell the story of Antigen, Emirati hip hop, and the broader music culture surrounding the artist, and various other topics. Day-to-day responsibilities include scriptwriting and storyboarding, directing interviews and live-action shoots, and coordinating with artists, crew members, and production partners. The role involves overseeing video production from pre-production through post-production, including supervising edits, sound design input, and final delivery of documentary content for digital and streaming platforms. The filmmaker will also manage production schedules, maintain organized footage and project files, and collaborate closely with the creative and music teams to ensure alignment with the brand's vision.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Film Direction and Film Production, with experience leading documentary projects from concept to final cut.
• Hands-on experience in Video Production, including camera operation, lighting, and on-set coordination.
• Proficiency in Post-Production workflows, including basic or advanced knowledge of editing software and visual storytelling through cuts and pacing.
• Effective Scriptwriting abilities, particularly for documentary formats, interviews, and voiceover narration.
• Proven portfolio or showreel demonstrating documentary work, preferably related to music, culture, or arts.
• Ability to work on-site in Dubai, collaborate with a diverse creative team, and adapt to dynamic production environments.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines on a part-time schedule.
• Familiarity with hip hop culture and an interest in Emirati and regional music scenes is highly beneficial.
• Relevant education or training in Film, Media Production, or a related field is preferred but equivalent experience is also valued.
