Early Childhood Director

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field .

Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed with QTS, or equivalent) with an Early Years specialism .

Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in Early Years education .

Minimum 2–3 years of leadership experience in an Early Years or Foundation Stage setting .

Proven experience leading and managing a team of educators .

Strong knowledge of early childhood pedagogies and global best practices (e.g., play-based, inquiry-led learning) .

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills .

A strong commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and child welfare .

Desirable:

Master's Degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field .

Experience with a specific curriculum (e.g., British EYFS, IB PYP, American, or IEYC) .

International school experience, particularly in the UAE, with knowledge of local regulations (e.g., KHDA) and cultural context .

Experience leading teams in a bilingual setting is an advantage.
