Electrical Design Team Leader

Role Description The Electrical Design Team Leader is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, responsible for leading a team of electrical engineers and designers in delivering high-quality design solutions for building and infrastructure projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing electrical system design, reviewing and approving drawings and calculations, coordinating with other disciplines, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. The role involves managing project schedules and resources, guiding the team in resolving technical issues, and maintaining design quality throughout all project stages. The Electrical Design Team Leader will also liaise with clients, participate in design and coordination meetings, and support site teams with technical input when needed.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in electrical design for buildings and infrastructure, including power distribution, lighting, low current systems, and related calculations.
• Proficiency in relevant design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, electrical design tools) and familiarity with local and international electrical codes and standards.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with experience mentoring engineers, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance and deliverables.
• Solid project management capabilities, including planning, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, time management, and handling multiple projects in parallel.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field; professional certifications or membership in engineering societies are an advantage.
• Previous experience in an engineering consultancy environment, preferably in Egypt or the region, with familiarity with ISO 9001:2015-based management systems.
• Ability to work on-site in Cairo and to adapt to changing project needs while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
