Job description:

Job Purpose

Creating detailed electrical system designs and schematics for various projects. Analyzing project requirements, developing and testing electrical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with other engineers and stakeholders to deliver efficient and reliable designs. Provide innovative solutions that meet technical specifications and project objectives while optimizing performance and cost.

Key Accountability Areas

Design and Development:

• Create detailed electrical system designs, schematics, and layouts for projects, ensuring they meet project specifications and industry standards.
• Conduct electrical load calculations, system simulations, and performance analyses to ensure designs are efficient, reliable, and compliant with relevant codes and regulations.

Documentation and Compliance:

• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and reports. Ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
• Ensure that all designs comply with national and local electrical codes, safety standards, and quality assurance procedures.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with other engineers, architects, and stakeholders to integrate electrical systems with other building systems and project requirements.
• Communicate with clients to understand their needs, provide technical advice, and present design concepts and solutions.

Project Management:

• Review and approve design modifications and changes, ensuring they align with project goals and specifications.

Problem-Solving and Innovation:

• Identify and resolve design issues, perform system testing, and provide solutions to technical problems that occur during the implementation phase.
• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve design processes and solutions.

• Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automations opportunities as much as possible.

Compliance:

• Comply to related policy and procedures and work instructions.

Health, Safety, and Environment:

• Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.
