To lead and support the engineering team in maintaining hotel facilities, equipment, and systems in a safe, efficient, and guest-focused manner, ensuring all maintenance activities meet operational, safety, and brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily engineering operations, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance is carried out for all hotel equipment, rooms, and public areas.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and breakdowns to minimize guest impact.
- Support the Chief Engineer in planning schedules, manpower allocation, and maintenance priorities.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire life safety regulations at all times.
- Monitor energy consumption and support initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports.
- Coordinate with other departments to support smooth hotel operations.
- Assist with training, coaching, and performance development of engineering team members.
- Supervise external contractors and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or technical certification in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in hotel engineering or facility maintenance.
- Prior supervisory or team-leading experience preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance systems.
- Good understanding of safety standards, preventive maintenance, and compliance requirements.
