Overview of Role
Environmental Test Engineer is responsible for the execution and design of all the environmental tests that take place at the Abu Al Abyad Test Range and off-site test activities around all the environmental tests mentioned in MIL-STD-810-G and other relevant standards.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- Work with the assigned test engineer and team lead for conducting environmental tests that require the use of vibration shaker, climatic controlled chamber, pressure chamber, rain test chamber, etc.
- Assembly and disassembly of test fixtures and test samples.
- Operates assigned and trained test equipment.
- Feedback to test procedures to improve the test safety and reliability
- Prepares the raw data to be used in test reports.
- Ensure that the relevant test equipment and sensors are used according to Range documentation
- Search for new opportunities to improve the productivity and safety of his/her area of expertise.
Mandatory
- Understanding of Environmental Testing including vibration, shock, drop, thermal, humidity, etc.
- Understanding to set up, operate and maintain equipment in an environmental test facility
- Basic knowledge of MS. Office software
- Flexible approach to work willing to work overtime, ad hoc shifts or on customer sites as and when required.
- Fluent in spoken English

- Technical training as mechanical or electrical technician or equivalent experience

- Experience on assembly and disassembly of electro-mechanical equipment
