Job Purpose
To work according to the requirements asked by the immediate supervisor and apply to the rules and regulations pertaining to the ground services at the airport according to the federal and international laws organized by the International Civil Aviation Organization.
Functional Accountabilities
Financial
- Accurate recording of equipment assignment timings in charge notes for billing purpose for airlines or other customers.
Process
- Report to the assigned supervisor at the start of each shift and perform allocated duties.
- Conduct pre-operational inspections, complete required checklists, report defects immediately, ensure only serviceable equipment is used, and maintain equipment cleanliness.
- Operate all authorized GSE/GSV upon successful completion of the required training and competency assessment.
- Aim for efficient utilization and reduce fuel consumption. Comply with all airport regulations, safety procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) always.
- Maintain effective communication and coordination with supervisors and ground handling teams to ensure safe and efficient ramp operations.
- Maintain professional working relationships with colleagues and provide operational support to ramp staff and aircraft cleaners when required.
- Support and comply with Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (QHSSE) requirements.
- Participate in accidents, incident, hazard investigations, and risk assessments, and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor in a safe and responsible manner.
- Strictly comply with airside driving rules, GSE operating procedures, aircraft safety clearances, and current airport safety requirements.
- Conduct routine Foreign Object Debris (FOD) inspections, perform wing-walking duties where required, and promptly report hazards, incidents, accidents, or unsafe conditions.
- Identify, report and return lost property in accordance with airport procedures.
- Maintain professional grooming, personal hygiene, and wear the prescribed uniform and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times while delivering courteous customer service.
- Learn marshalling & Headset procedures and support team post training/certification.

Qualifications
Qualifications, Experience, & Skills
- Good standard of education & Fluent in the English language (both spoken and written). Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic is an added advantage) for RT and Headset communication procedures
Professional Qualifications
- Having a valid UAE driving licence
Experience
Required Experience
- Minimum one (1) year of driving experience.
- Previous experience working in a 24/7 operational environment, preferably within the logistics or transportation or aviation industry.
- Able to operate Ground Handling Equipment and vehicles (once qualified and cleared from the competent department)

- To comply with the relevant safety requirements and procedures outlined in the Aerodrome Operations Manual and Safety Management System and any other instructions or notices issued by Ras Al Khaimah International Airport.
- To comply with the safety requirements detailed within their training.
- To advise their Head of Department and the Airport Duty Officer team of any safety occurrence or system failure and to identify and report any situation of potential risk or concern affecting safety via one of the following means.
- Report directly to the Safety Department or an immediate Supervisor or Manager.
- Submitting an Accident/ Incident Report.
- Support safety audits and investigations as they occur.
