Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Facilities Manager will oversee the planning, management, and maintenance of all company facilities, ensuring optimal operations, safety, and compliance. This role will manage HVAC systems, building infrastructure, and vendor relationships to support business continuity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of company facilities, including offices, warehouses, and workshops.
  • Oversee HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and other mechanical equipment to ensure smooth operation and energy efficiency.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and prolong equipment life.
  • Manage service contracts and relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with local safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for facilities operations, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to support office relocation, renovations, or expansion projects.
  • Monitor and report on key facilities metrics, including energy usage, maintenance costs, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead a team of technicians and support staff, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
  • Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) managing facilities, ideally in HVAC, mechanical, or MEP-focused environments.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety regulations.
  • Experience managing budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in facility management software and Microsoft Office suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Facilities Management (e.g., IFMA, BIFM) is a plus.
  • Experience with energy management and sustainability initiatives.
