Description
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Purchase spare parts & components for the plant from the local market, in line with the approved cost & quality.
- Support the purchasing function and communicate any supply problems which may impact on business operations.
- Maintain and update a list of suppliers with their products, costs and brands.
- Maintain complete updated purchasing records/data and pricing in the system.
- Negotiate prices with suppliers to make business savings.
- Ensure that a professional and consistent approach is maintained with all suppliers.
- Ensure quality execution of all regular purchasing duties and administrative works.
- Support relevant departments with quotations for the purpose of tenders.
- Responsible for the scheduling, preparation, processing of purchase orders/ documents and the issue of order in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with colleagues and management
- Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery, or invoice issues.
Qualifications And Requirements
- Must have a valid Kuwaiti Driving License
- Technical Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Any discipline
- 8-10 Years of previous experience with solid knowledge and understanding of local market suppliers.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic.
- High level of ethics, integrity and honesty dealing with suppliers.
COMPETENCIES
- Highly skilled at building and maintaining effective and productive relationships with suppliers.
- Good negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
