JOB OVERVIEW
The Finance Director will provide strategic financial leadership across the rehabilitation and long-term care programs, overseeing financial planning, performance management, and governance. The role is responsible for safeguarding financial integrity, shaping strategic decision-making, and driving sustainable, cost-efficient growth across operations. The Finance Director partners closely with executive leadership and clinical stakeholders to align financial strategy with organizational objectives and patient care outcomes. The ideal candidate combines deep healthcare finance expertise with strong leadership capability, advanced regulatory and compliance knowledge, and experience operating in complex, high-growth healthcare environments.
JOB SCOPE
The Finance Director leads all financial activities including oversight of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury management, and capital allocation. The role is accountable for the integrity of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, robust variance analysis, and forward-looking financial modelling to support strategic planning and investment decisions.
Key responsibilities include leading the development of annual budgets and multi-year financial plans aligned with organizational strategy, monitoring liquidity and cash flow, and overseeing capital expenditure planning and execution. The Finance Director ensures optimisation of revenue cycle performance, including billing accuracy, coding compliance, and reimbursement maximisation across government payers, private insurers, and managed care providers.
The role partners with clinical and operational leadership to align financial performance with clinical outcomes, ensures the design and effectiveness of internal controls to safeguard company assets, and drives continuous process improvement across procurement, payroll, and vendor management functions.The Finance Director leads and develops the finance team, manages relationships with external auditors, lenders, and advisors, and presents financial performance, key risks, and strategic insights to executive leadership, Board committees, and shareholders.
In addition, the role plays a central role in strategic initiatives, including facility expansion, new service line development, financing transactions, while ensuring full compliance with applicable regulatory, financial reporting, and data privacy requirements.
