Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Freelance Junior Accountant to join our finance team working onsite from now until 30 April 2026. The role focuses on processing and recording Accounts Payable (AP) transactions and employee expenses, ensuring accuracy, timely posting, and strong adherence to financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and book supplier invoices in accordance with company policies and approved workflows.
- Review and post employee expenses submitted through Bayzat and Alaan, ensuring correct documentation and coding.
- Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on missing invoices or any discrepancies.
- Assist with weekly payment runs and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date AP records, including proper filing of invoices and expense reports.
- Communicate with internal departments to resolve coding issues, approval delays, or payment-related queries.
- Support the team with ad hoc AP-related queries as needed.
Requirements
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 13 years of accounting experience, preferably within Accounts Payable.
- Familiarity with Sage, Bayzat, or Alaan is an advantage.
- Strong ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Valid UAE Residency.
- Detail oriented and well organised.
- Ability to work full-time from our office in Dubai for the next five months (starting as soon as possible).
