About the Job

Position Title: Government Relations and Project Follow-up Engineer

Location: Riyadh, KSA

Saudi Nationals only.

Role Overview

The Government Relations and Project Follow-up Engineer will be responsible for representing the company before government, semi-government, regulatory, and related entities. The role involves following up on project transactions, approvals, licenses, permits, and official correspondence to ensure timely completion and compliance with client and project requirements. The position is field-based, with most activities carried out across Riyadh.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out all tasks in the field of government relations and follow up on assigned projects with the highest possible efficiency.
  • Follow up on project-related transactions with secretariats, municipalities, ministries, government authorities, regulatory and service bodies, and other entities until completion.
  • Follow up on the issuance of licenses, accreditations, approvals and permits.
  • Receive, deliver, and follow up on official correspondence and project-related submissions.
  • Coordinate with the project managers, department managers, clients and internal teams.
  • Attend government or stakeholder meetings when required and represent the company professionally.
  • Follow up on authority comments, observations, requirements related to submissions/reviews.
  • Prepare and submit periodic reports on the status of transactions.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with relevant government and stakeholder representatives.
  • Follow up on observations issued by entities regarding transactions and address them.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of client, project, commercial and company's information.

Requirements

Education / Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience is required.
  • Experience dealing with municipalities, ministries, regulatory bodies, or government authorities is preferred.
  • Experience within engineering consultancy is preferred.

Skills

  • Well-versed in government entity procedures.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to organize priorities.
  • Good report-writing and documentation skills.
  • Punctual, reliable, professional, and detail-oriented.
  • Good command of Arabic and English is preferred.
