Job Description

Position: Head of HR

Location: JLT, Dubai

Reports to: CEO

Matchworkers International (MI) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of HR to build, scale, and lead our human resources function. As MI grows across international markets, this role will be pivotal in shaping our people strategy, building strong HR foundations, and driving cultural and organisational development to support rapid scale-up.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute HR strategy aligned with MI's business goals.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and leadership team on people, culture, and organisational design.
  • Lead workforce planning to support growth across multiple geographies.

Team Building & Scale-Up

  • Build and manage the HR function, including recruitment, employee relations, learning & development, and compliance.
  • Establish scalable HR policies, processes, and systems to support international hiring.
  • Mentor and grow an HR team capable of supporting a high-growth, multi-sector business.

Talent Acquisition & Development

  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment, ensuring alignment with business needs.
  • Create frameworks for onboarding, performance management, and career progression.
  • Introduce leadership development and succession planning programmes.

Culture & Engagement

  • Drive initiatives to strengthen MI's culture, values, and employee experience.
  • Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
  • Implement employee engagement surveys and action planning.

Compliance & Risk

  • Ensure compliance with UAE employment law and international jurisdictions where MI operates.
  • Develop and monitor HR metrics and dashboards to guide leadership decisions.
  • Oversee employee relations, investigations, and grievance handling.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience scaling HR functions in a fast-growth or international business.
  • Strong understanding of UAE employment law; exposure to global employment frameworks is an advantage.
  • Track record of building high-performing teams and influencing C-suite stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
