Job Title : ICT Engineer - Network & Telecom
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Design, implement, and maintain the organization's telecommunications infrastructure, that interfaces with wired and wireless networks, voice systems, and data communication systems.
- Configure and maintain voice communication systems, such as PBX (Private Branch Exchange) systems, VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) networks, and Unified Communications (UC) platforms.
- Perform capacity planning to accommodate the organization's current and future telecommunication needs.
- Monitor network traffic and implement Quality of Service (QoS) measures to prioritize critical applications and ensure optimal bandwidth utilization.
- Collaborate with vendors to procure and implement voice and data communication equipment, ensuring compatibility and adherence to industry standards.
- Lead telecommunication projects, including system upgrades, network expansions, and technology (SaaS / PaaS) migrations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as IT teams and business units, to understand requirements and align telecommunication solutions with organizational goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, system diagrams, and telecommunication infrastructure.
- Prepare regular reports on telecommunication-related metrics.
- Manage telecommunications contracts, service level agreements, and vendor relationships.
- Education : B.sc Telecommunication & engineer or Diploma in Electronics & telecommunication and/ a Certification in telecommunication and Networking is a plus (CCNA)
- Work Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience in Telecommunication and Networking related services, of good Knowledge of Power supply maintenance
- Proven experience as an ICT Engineer, Network Engineer, or similar role, with a focus on Telecom.
- In-depth knowledge of telecommunication technologies, including network protocols, voice and data communication systems, and network security principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex network issues that affect voice communication.
- Experience with telecommunication equipment, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and VoIP systems.
- Knowledge of Avaya core platform.
