Job Summary
The Infrastructure Expert is responsible for managing, designing, and optimizing ICT infrastructure across networks, servers, and data centers. This role ensures high availability, scalability, and security of enterprise IT systems while providing expert technical leadership and guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage ICT infrastructure layers, including network, servers, and data center (DC) environments, ensuring reliable performance and service continuity.
- Design, configure, and deploy enterprise-grade infrastructure solutions, aligning with organizational objectives and long-term scalability.
- Lead large-scale infrastructure projects, including system upgrades, cloud and virtualization initiatives, disaster recovery planning, and data center expansions.
- Administer and optimize virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware) to maximize performance, resource utilization, and operational efficiency.
- Manage enterprise-level storage and backup solutions, ensuring robust data protection, disaster recovery readiness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor infrastructure performance using advanced tools, proactively identifying and resolving complex technical issues before they impact operations.
- Establish, implement, and enforce infrastructure policies, processes, and security standards in line with international best practices.
- Collaborate with IT leadership, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors to evaluate new technologies, negotiate contracts, and ensure successful delivery of infrastructure services.
- Document infrastructure designs, configurations, policies, and operational procedures for knowledge sharing and compliance purposes.
- Act as the escalation point for high-severity incidents, coordinating response and resolution activities across teams.
- Provide mentorship, training, and guidance to infrastructure technicians and other IT staff, fostering professional growth and knowledge transfer.
- Conduct risk assessments, capacity planning, and cost analysis to ensure infrastructure investments are aligned with business requirements and budgets.
- Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring infrastructure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory frameworks.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Engineering, or related field (master's degree preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive experience in ICT infrastructure roles, with demonstrated expertise across networks, servers, and data centers.
- Proven track record of designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level infrastructure projects.
- Strong expertise in virtualization, storage management, server administration, and data center operations.
- In-depth knowledge of ICT infrastructure technologies, including networking protocols, hardware platforms, and enterprise system architectures.
- Hands-on experience with VMware, Dell EMC, and Huawei solutions in large-scale environments.
- Strong leadership and project management abilities, with experience guiding cross-functional teams through complex initiatives.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly resolve critical infrastructure issues.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business requirements.
- Ability to develop infrastructure strategies, best practices, and documentation to standardize operations across the enterprise.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks and standards (ISO, ITIL, NIST, etc.).
