Summary:
This role involves leading the strategy and architecture for Expo 2030's smart infrastructure and IoT ecosystem, focusing on connected operations and intelligent monitoring.
Main Responsibilities:
- Defining the smart infrastructure and IoT vision across connected assets, sensors, utilities, and operational intelligence platforms.
- Developing technology and digital strategy for site-wide IoT deployment, connectivity, interoperability, and edge computing.
- Leading requirements for smart lighting, environmental monitoring, waste management, water systems, and BMS integration.
- Designing use cases for real-time monitoring across occupancy, energy, environmental conditions, utilities, and operational performance.
- Defining edge-computing strategies for low-latency analytics, resilience, and integration with command-center environments.
- Supporting integration planning across IoT platforms, smart city data ecosystems, operational technologies, and facilities systems.
- Assessing vendor landscape across IoT platforms, sensors, edge technologies, BMS integrations, OT/IT convergence, and safety-detection solutions.
- Supporting procurement strategy, technical specifications, vendor evaluation, and implementation partner selection.
Key Requirements:
- Prior Expo or mega-event experience (World Expo, Olympics, FIFA, Formula 1, Hajj-scale operations, etc.)
- Strong experience in smart infrastructure and large-scale site technology programs.
- Proven background in IoT strategy and connected infrastructure ecosystems.
- Strong knowledge of IoT platforms, sensor technologies, and operational analytics.
- Experience in procurement and vendor evaluation for complex smart infrastructure initiatives.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in smart cities, airports, campuses, or mixed-use developments.
Other Details:
This position is based onsite in Riyadh, KSA, with a contract duration of 3 months, extendable based on project needs.
