We are looking for an experienced Interior Designer who is passionate about design excellence and capable of transforming ideas into sophisticated, functional spaces.
Role Overview
As an Interior Designer at Zwayakw, you will lead projects throughout the complete design journey—from concept development to construction documentation and site execution.
You will collaborate with architects, engineers, suppliers, contractors, and clients to deliver innovative design solutions while maintaining the highest standards of quality, creativity, and technical accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop creative interior design concepts aligned with client requirements, budgets, and project objectives.
- Create professional mood boards, material palettes, and client presentations.
- Prepare detailed space planning, furniture layouts, and interior design documentation.
- Produce accurate construction drawings suitable for project execution.
- Select and specify FF&E, finishes, lighting, materials, and decorative elements.
- Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct site surveys, take measurements, and monitor site progress.
- Attend client meetings and confidently present design proposals.
- Ensure the original design vision is maintained throughout construction.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in Interior Design.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating completed residential, commercial, or hospitality projects.
- Excellent understanding of space planning, design principles, lighting, materials, and detailing.
- Proven experience in preparing complete construction drawing packages.
- Strong knowledge of FF&E selection and material specifications.
- Familiarity with local construction methods, materials, and building regulations in Kuwait is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Software Skills
Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in most of the following:
- AutoCAD
- Revit
- SketchUp
- 3ds Max or Blender (preferred)
- V-Ray or Corona Renderer
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe InDesign
- Microsoft Office
