Job Description:
Our client, a dynamic and growing organization, is seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to join their team. The Inventory Manager will play a crucial role in optimizing inventory processes, ensuring accurate stock levels, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the supply chain. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen attention to detail, and proven experience in inventory management.
Responsibilities:
Inventory Planning and Control:
Develop and implement inventory management policies and procedures.
Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing excess or obsolete stock.
Demand Forecasting:
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to forecast demand and ensure adequate stock levels.
Utilize historical data and market trends to improve accuracy in demand forecasting.
Order Management:
Place purchase orders with suppliers to replenish stock based on demand forecasts.
Negotiate terms with suppliers to optimize costs and delivery schedules.
Stock Accuracy and Auditing:
Conduct regular stock audits to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies.
Implement corrective measures to address inventory discrepancies promptly.
Supplier Relationship Management:
Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and timely deliveries.
Address and resolve any issues related to supplier performance.
Inventory Reporting:
Generate regular reports on inventory levels, stock movement, and key performance indicators.
Provide analysis and insights to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
Process Optimization:
Identify opportunities to streamline inventory processes and improve overall efficiency.
Implement best practices to enhance the accuracy and effectiveness of inventory management.
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
Work closely with logistics, warehouse, and procurement teams to coordinate inventory activities.
Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to address inventory-related challenges.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Proven 5 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of demand forecasting techniques and principles.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Effective communication and negotiation skills.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
