Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Junior Mechanical / Fabrication Engineer with 3-4 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, metal fabrication, and mechanical assembly.
This is a hands-on role that requires more than theoretical engineering knowledge. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in both the workshop and office, supporting fabrication activities, assembling mechanical components, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with production teams to deliver high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication details, and assembly instructions.
- Create and modify mechanical designs using SolidWorks (basic proficiency required).
- Support and oversee fabrication, machining, welding, and assembly activities.
- Perform hands-on mechanical assembly, fitting, installation, and troubleshooting when required.
- Ensure fabricated components and assemblies meet design specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate with workshop personnel and project teams to ensure work is completed safely and on schedule.
- Conduct inspections and resolve fabrication or mechanical issues efficiently.
- Assist in improving manufacturing processes and product designs.
- Maintain engineering documentation and technical records.
- Ensure compliance with company quality, safety, and operational standards.
- Metal fabrication and integration of AV and wooden structural supports forcomponents within custom designed structures, activations and stand designs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- 3-4 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, fabrication, manufacturing, or a similar industry.
- Strong hands-on experience in mechanical assembly and metal fabrication is essential.
- Practical knowledge of fabrication processes, including welding, cutting, machining, and fitting.
- Basic working knowledge of SolidWorks for creating and modifying mechanical designs.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication blueprints.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced workshop environment.
