Land Surveyor
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field surveys to establish property boundaries, topographical features, and construction layouts.
- Operate and maintain surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, drones, and digital levels.
- Collect, process, and analyze survey data using CAD and GIS software.
- Prepare accurate survey drawings, maps, and legal boundary descriptions.
- Verify survey data accuracy, including measurements and calculations.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure designs align with survey data.
- Maintain and update survey records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal surveying regulations and standards.
- Manage survey crews and delegate tasks when required.
- Conduct site visits and provide technical advice to project teams and clients.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional licensure (e.g., Registered Land Surveyor, Licensed Surveyor) preferred or required depending on jurisdiction.
Experience:
- Minimum 2–5 years of field and office surveying experience (varies by role level).
- Experience with GPS/GNSS technology, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and survey software (e.g., Trimble Business Center, Leica Geo Office).
Skills:
- Strong understanding of surveying principles, geodesy, and mapping.
- Proficiency in CAD and GIS applications.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and in team environments.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
Working Conditions
- Primarily field-based work with occasional office duties.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions and terrain.
- May require travel to different project sites.
Range Salary (7,000 - 8,000 AED)
