Job Description

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will provide hands-on support and guidance across project lifecycles from presales technical input and solution design, to installation, testing, and after-sales service. You will work closely with project managers, site engineers, and clients to ensure systems are delivered to specification, resolve technical issues, and maintain high standards of service.

Provide technical support for installation, configuration, and maintenance of light current systems (CCTV, access control, fire alarm, UPS, intrusion systems, etc.).

Assist project teams in system design, drawings review, and bill of quantity (BOQ) preparation.

Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning to ensure proper functionality.

Respond to service requests and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.

Provide technical guidance and training to internal teams and end-users.

Support presales activities by preparing technical proposals and assisting in product selection.

Coordinate with vendors/suppliers for product specifications, manuals, and technical updates.

Document all technical support activities, incidents, and resolutions for knowledge base use.

Ensure compliance with safety standards, project requirements, and quality benchmarks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Communications Engineering.
  • 24 years of experience in technical support or engineering within light current/low current systems.
  • Hands-on experience with at least two of the following: CCTV, access control, fire alarm, UPS, audio-visual, or BMS.
  • Strong knowledge of installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of light current systems.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and MS Office tools.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, switches, cabling).
  • Knowledge of standards and regulations for low current systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in field/site environments.
  • Team-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours when required.
