Job Title: Logistics Lead
KBR is growing its Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team for an exciting, high profile offshore development in Abu Dhabi. The ADNOC PMC project role would be based initially in Client or Contractors Office in Abu Dhabi.
Job Purpose
The Logistics Lead is responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating all logistics activities supporting ADNOC Offshore operations and projects. The role ensures the efficient movement of personnel, materials, equipment, vessels, and cargo between onshore bases and offshore assets while maintaining compliance with ADNOC HSE standards, regulatory requirements, and operational objectives.
The Logistics Lead plays a key role in supporting offshore production, drilling, maintenance, construction, and project execution activities through effective logistics planning, marine coordination, aviation support, warehousing, and supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics Planning & Coordination
- Lead and coordinate logistics operations supporting offshore production facilities, drilling rigs, artificial islands, offshore platforms, and project sites.
- Develop and implement logistics plans for offshore operations, maintenance campaigns, shutdowns, and capital projects.
- Ensure timely transportation of equipment, materials, spare parts, and consumables to offshore locations.
- Coordinate logistics activities between ADNOC Offshore, contractors, suppliers, marine operators, and aviation service providers.
- Optimize logistics resources to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Marine & Aviation Logistics
- Coordinate offshore vessel movements, including:
- Supply Vessels
- Crew Boats
- Barges
- Anchor Handling Vessels
- Construction Support Vessels
- Monitor vessel utilization and logistics performance.
- Coordinate helicopter transportation schedules for offshore personnel.
- Ensure compliance with marine and aviation safety requirements.
- Support mobilization and demobilization activities for offshore projects and contractors.
Materials & Warehouse Management
- Manage material movement from suppliers and warehouses to offshore facilities.
- Coordinate inventory replenishment and critical spare parts management.
- Oversee logistics support to ADNOC Offshore warehouses and supply bases.
- Monitor material availability to prevent operational disruptions.
- Ensure accurate inventory records and material tracking.
Project Logistics Support
- Develop logistics strategies for major offshore EPC and brownfield projects.
- Coordinate transportation of oversized and critical equipment.
- Support offshore construction campaigns, shutdowns, and hook-up activities.
- Participate in project planning meetings and logistics reviews.
- Identify logistics risks and develop mitigation plans.
HSE & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure all logistics activities comply with:

- International Marine and Aviation Standards
- Promote a strong safety culture across all logistics operations.
- Participate in incident investigations and recommend corrective actions.

Contractor & Vendor Management
- Manage logistics contractors, freight forwarders, marine operators, and service providers.
- Monitor contractor performance against KPIs and service agreements.
- Support tender evaluations and contract administration activities.
- Conduct logistics performance reviews and identify improvement opportunities.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Develop logistics performance reports and dashboards.
- Monitor logistics KPIs related to:
- Material delivery performance
- Vessel utilization
- Cost efficiency
- Inventory management
- Personnel movements
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports for management review.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead logistics coordinators and support personnel.
- Interface with Operations, Projects, Supply Chain, Drilling, Maintenance, and HSE departments.
- Provide logistics expertise during planning and execution stages.
- Mentor and develop logistics team members.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Professional certifications in Logistics or Supply Chain Management are preferred.
Preferred Certifications
- APICS CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional)
- CILT (Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport)
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
- NEBOSH or IOSH Certification
- Marine Logistics Certification (preferred)
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of logistics and supply chain experience within the Oil & Gas industry.
- At least 5 years in a supervisory or lead logistics role.
- Extensive offshore logistics experience supporting production and project operations.
- Strong knowledge of marine and aviation logistics.
- Experience supporting ADNOC Offshore, ADNOC Drilling, or major offshore operators is highly preferred.
- Experience with offshore construction and EPC projects is an advantage.
