To manage and oversee crewing operations within the Maritime Cluster, ensuring efficient, compliant, and timely crew deployment to support operational needs. The role is responsible for supervising crewing activities, optimizing crew utilization, and ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and company standards.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day crewing operations across the Maritime Cluster, ensuring timely and compliant crew deployment in line with operational requirements.
  • Oversee crew planning, rotations, and vessel assignments to ensure optimal crew utilization and minimal operational disruption.
  • Supervise and support the crewing team in executing recruitment, onboarding, and mobilization of seafarers.
  • Ensure all crew documentation, certifications, and records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory and company standards.
  • Monitor crew performance, attendance, and conduct, addressing any issues related to grievances, discipline, or welfare in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Fleet, HR, and external partners to ensure smooth execution of crewing activities.
  • Track crewing-related costs and support in identifying opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with maritime labor laws, international regulations, and internal policies related to crew management.
  • Maintain effective relationships with manning agencies, training institutes, and other external partners.
  • Support audits and inspections by ensuring all crewing practices and documentation meet required standards.
  • People Management Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day supervision and guidance to the crewing team, ensuring tasks are delivered effectively and on time.
  • Support team development through on-the-job coaching and performance feedback.
  • Assist in setting team objectives and monitoring performance against KPIs.

Qualifications

Educational and Technical Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field

Master's degree is an advantage

Language Skills:

Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage)

Strong leadership, organizational, and coordination skills

Proficient in MS Office and crewing system

Years of Experience:

8-9 years relevant experience

Nature of Experience:

Experience in managing end-to-end crewing operations

Strong knowledge of maritime regulations and crew compliance requirements

Proven experience in handling crew planning, mobilization, and welfare

Experience in stakeholder coordination across operations, HR, and external agencies

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic operational environment

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
