General Description of Role and Responsibilities:
- Inspect all mechanical works for villa buildings and associated infrastructure to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
- Monitor installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, water supply, fire fighting systems, and external utilities (water, sewer, stormwater, irrigation, pumping stations).
- Review contractor submissions including shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and ITPs.
- Witness site testing and commissioning activities such as pressure tests, leakage tests, flushing, disinfection, and system start-up.
- Ensure proper coordination between mechanical works and civil, architectural, and electrical disciplines.
- Identify and report non-conformances and follow up on corrective actions with the Contractor's QA/QC team.
- Maintain site records, inspection reports, and progress documentation.
- Ensure compliance with authority requirements, project specifications, and HSE standards.
- Attend site inspections, meetings, and testing activities as required by the Resident Engineer / Project Manager.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- BSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 5–8 years experience in mechanical works for buildings and/or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire fighting, and utility systems.
- Ability to read mechanical and infrastructure drawings and specifications.
- Familiar with testing, commissioning, and site inspection procedures.
- Good coordination, reporting, and communication skills.
- Able to work under pressure in a construction site environment.
