Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
5.1 Obtains patient related history and ID verification
5.2 Provide personalized coordinated care, support and treatment for patients and families.
5.3 Treat people with dignity, compassion, and respect.
5.4 Involve patients, families and caregivers by providing them with education and resources for offering optimal support to promote recovery.
5.5 Explain procedure to the patient and obtain relevant patient history.
5.6 Applies Electrodes as per standards, records and monitor procedures.
5.7 Calibrate the equipment and recognize artifact.
5.8 Ability to use appropriate amplifier setting according to the test performed in order to obtain quality data and recognize artifact
5.9 Maintain up to date training required by Hospital as per JD, not limited to educational events, infection control, and patient safety.
5.11 Be on call as needed and Perform other duties within skills and knowledge and training given as assigned by department manager
6.0 QUALIFICATIONS :
6.1.1 Diploma or higher in Allied health or nursing with post-secondary training in the medical field that include anatomy and physiology.
6.2 Licensable by ministry of Health.
6.3 Ability to communicate in English presentably and effectively.
7.0 PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE :
7.1 2 years experience post qualification experience in medical field in a hospital setting.
7.2 Assisted or Performed in 50 -100 Neurophysiology with A&P exposure, preferred.
7.3 Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
8.0 SPECIALIZED SKILLS:
8.1 Work 48 hours per week,
8.2 Work independently all shifts as seen needed by department manager.
8.3 Fluent in English
8.4 Intermediate computer skills, MW, Excel, Visio.
8.5 Organized and present required reports on time.
8.6 Ability to work extra hours, lift heavy weights, stand long hours.
9.0 COMPETENCE:
9.1 Ability to manage internal and external communication.
9.2 Patient education and patient consent if necessary.
10.0 REQUIRED ATTITUDE TO PERFORM THE JOB:
10.1 Proper, effective and compassionate communication.
