Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Operations Team Leader to oversee and support day-to-day operations across warehousing, logistics, inventory, and fulfillment functions. The ideal candidate will drive team performance, ensure compliance with SLAs and KPIs, and maintain smooth coordination between inbound, outbound, and reverse logistics processes. This role requires strong leadership, analytical thinking, and a hands-on operational approach in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

Inbound Operations

  • Oversee the timely processing of incoming products, GRN documentation, and discrepancy management.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to resolve PO and invoice issues and manage rejected or failed QC cases.
  • Ensure accurate closure of GRNs and compliance with quality standards.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and shipping teams to confirm deliveries and maintain documentation accuracy.
  • Ensure proper segregation and return of expired or defective goods in line with company policies.

Outbound Operations

  • Ensure efficient order fulfillment and timely dispatch in line with FIFO protocols.
  • Supervise picking, sorting, and packing teams to ensure accurate, damage-free, and timely shipments.
  • Maintain packing material standards and ensure proper organization of packing stations.
  • Monitor handovers to 3PL partners and resolve delays, documentation discrepancies, and shipment tracking issues.

Inventory Management

  • Ensure organized, FIFO-compliant inventory movement and storage.
  • Conduct cycle counts, monitor stock levels, and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Manage the segregation of damaged, expired, and overstocked items and initiate appropriate disposal or return procedures.
  • Lead reverse logistics activities, ensuring accurate and timely processing of returned products.

Logistics & Last-Mile Delivery

  • Monitor and track outbound shipments to ensure timely and complete deliveries.
  • Manage return-to-warehouse operations and verify the accuracy of reverse logistics processes.
  • Assist with route optimization, shipment consolidation, and delivery efficiency initiatives.
  • Supervise drivers, ensure compliance with customer service standards, and manage COD collections.

Team Leadership & Reporting

  • Develop staff schedules, delegate tasks, and ensure adequate team coverage and training.
  • Track KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and provide coaching to improve productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operational activities and manage manpower requirements.
  • Generate reports on order fulfillment, stock movement, inventory accuracy, and team performance.
  • Identify operational challenges and recommend or escalate appropriate solutions.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in operations, including at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong experience in warehouse operations, including inbound, outbound, and inventory management.
  • Experience in 3PL logistics or e-commerce operations is an advantage.

Systems & Languages

  • Proficiency in ERP systems, WMS, inventory management software, and logistics tools.
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Google Workspace.
  • Fluency in English is required; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and effectively manage external vendors and 3PL partners.
