Overview
The Principal Marketing Specialist will join a growing global function with a clear mandate: to help CB&I accelerate growth. Responsible for driving the implementation of regional marketing communications initiatives, this role requires expertise across the MarComms spectrum, combined with a strong understanding of the energy sector.
As a trusted advisor, the Principal Marketing Specialist will support business leaders to translate priorities and complex challenges into impactful tactics, programs and recommended best practices. While working with a high degree of autonomy, they will regularly collaborate with functional colleagues to drive consistency, credibility and connectivity.
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee the execution of tactical marketing and communication planning for CB&I's international businesses (in parts of Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and Australia).
- Lead content development for key owned channels, including; corporate website, social media, video and intranet/newsletters; and facilitate brand awareness through suitable advertisements, features and campaigns.
- Collaborate with US and UK-based Marketing and Communications team members and other regional business groups to develop and launch digital and traditional marketing initiatives, sales toolkits and customer communications, in support of business development strategies.
- Drive regional company sponsorship opportunities and participation at regional tradeshows.
- Coordinate graphic design projects with US and UK-based team members, to drive coherence and consistency across regional marketing, communications and multimedia outputs.
- Provide communications and campaign support for regional HR recruiting efforts.
- Oversee approvals processes, liaising with subject matter experts, leadership and functional colleagues to drive accuracy, quality and timeliness of content and announcements.
- Support regionalleaders to achieve employee awareness and engagement goals, through delivery of tactical advice and the practical management of town hall programs, leadership communications, internal announcements, and newsletter content.
- Coordinate regional employee town halls.
- Ensure consistent brand experience across all corporate marketing channels.
- Leverage relationships with regional industry and trade associations.
- Develop branding materials specific to CB&I's niche product lines and unique country experience - engaging with internal technical teams and CB&I employees to develop project and country specific materials.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, STEM or a related field preferred.
- Five to eight (5 to 8) years of relevant experience in marketing and/or communications.
- Experience working in the oil and gas or manufacturing industries strongly preferred.
- Professional expertise with social media, newsletter writing, tradeshows and corporate advertising
- Team player who is comfortable working in a matrixed environment with accountabilities to multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively under challenging deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
