Role Description The Programming Coordinator is responsible for supporting the development, coordination, and delivery of cultural, educational, community, and public engagement programs across Torasna's destinations and projects. This role involves coordinating program schedules, liaising with partners and facilitators, supporting event planning and delivery, and ensuring programs align with organizational objectives and audience needs. The Programming Coordinator will play a key role in activating the destination, enhancing visitor experiences, and contributing to Torasna's mission of connecting audiences with culture, heritage, and community through meaningful programming.

Key Responsibilities

Programming Strategy & Development

  • Design and implement Ghurnata's annual and seasonal programming calendar, including cultural, educational, wellness, social, and community activities.
  • Develop customer-centric programming that reflects Torasna's vision while responding to audience interests and market opportunities.
  • Research local and international programming trends and recommend innovative concepts, formats, and partnerships.
  • Continuously evaluate program performance and use audience feedback to refine future programming.

 Program Delivery & Operations

  • Coordinate the planning and execution of all assigned programs from concept through delivery.
  • Manage scheduling, logistics, venue preparation, materials, suppliers, facilitators, and on-site operations.
  • Ensure programs are delivered safely, professionally, on schedule, and in accordance with Torasna's quality standards.
  • Support evening, weekend, and public holiday programming as required

Partnerships, Community & Audience Engagement

  • Build and maintain relationships with artists, facilitators, cultural organizations, educational institutions, NGOs, community groups, and local businesses.
  • Lead community outreach initiatives to expand participation and strengthen Ghurnata's presence within surrounding communities.
  • Support audience engagement and communication before, during, and after programs.
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to promote programs and encourage repeat visitation.

Administration, Budget & Resource Management

  • Coordinate suppliers, vendors, facilitators, and contractors to ensure the successful delivery of programs.
  • Support the preparation and monitoring of program budgets and track expenditure against approved allocations.
  • Maintain customer databases, participant records, attendance reports, and partnership information.
  • Prepare regular reports on program performance, attendance, audience feedback, and operational insights.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Events, Sales, Operations, Interpretation, and external partners to deliver integrated visitor experiences.
  • Identify opportunities to improve programming processes, operational efficiency, and audience experience.
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives that strengthen Ghurnata's position as a leading cultural destination.
  • Foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and continuous learning within the programming function.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Arts Management, Cultural Management, Heritage Management, Event Management, Communications, Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in programming, events, community engagement, cultural projects, or related fields.
  • Experience coordinating workshops, talks, performances, exhibitions, or public programs.
  • Experience working with external partners, suppliers, facilitators, and stakeholders.
  • Experience maintaining schedules, participant databases, or CRM/customer records is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with event planning, project management, and productivity tools.
  • Experience within cultural, heritage, tourism, educational, or community-focused organizations is advantageous.
  • Experience supporting programme budgets or financial administration is advantageous.
