Project Cost Control Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts.
• Track project costs and analyze budget versus actual expenditures.
• Prepare periodic cost reports and present cost performance updates.
• Review BOQs, quantities, variations, and contractors payment certificates.
• Monitor project progress and identify potential cost overruns.
• Evaluate change orders and assess their financial impact.
• Coordinate with project managers, procurement, and finance teams to control project costs.
• Support tendering activities through cost estimation and pricing.
• Ensure compliance with company cost control procedures and reporting standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• 6–10 years of experience in a similar role (Cost Control Engineer or Quantity Surveyor).
• Strong knowledge of project budgeting, cost control, and quantity surveying.
• Experience in cost reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cost control/reporting tools.
• Familiarity with BOQs, contracts, and project payment certifications.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
