About the Role
AKI is seeking an ambitious and well-connected Emirati Public Affairs Manager to strengthen the Group's engagement with government entities, semi-government organisations, strategic institutions and National initiatives. This role will lead the development and management of AKI's public affairs programme, building trusted relationships that support the Group's long-term strategic objectives, identify opportunities for collaboration, and position AKI as a valued private sector partner aligned with the UAE's national priorities. Working closely with senior leadership, the role will represent AKI across key external engagements, ensuring meaningful relationships are developed, maintained and translated into opportunities that create long-term value for the business.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute AKI's Public Affairs strategy across the United Arab Emirates.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government, semi-government and strategic stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for partnerships, collaboration and participation in national programmes and initiatives.
- Act as a key liaison between AKI and external government stakeholders.
- Support senior leadership in preparing for high-level meetings, engagements and strategic forums.
- Monitor government priorities, policy developments and emerging initiatives relevant to AKI's business portfolio.
- Coordinate AKI's participation in government events, official delegations, forums and strategic programmes.
- Work collaboratively across AKI's business units to identify opportunities for engagement and strategic partnerships.
- Develop stakeholder engagement plans and maintain a structured pipeline of strategic relationships.
- Ensure AKI is represented professionally and consistently across all public affairs activities.
- Provide regular updates and strategic recommendations to executive leadership on engagement opportunities and relationship development.
Qualifications
- UAE National (Emirati).
- Bachelor's degree in Business, International Relations, Public Policy, Communications or a related discipline.
- Experience working within public affairs, stakeholder engagement, government relations or strategic partnerships.
- Strong understanding of the UAE government landscape and national priorities.
- Established professional network across government and semi-government entities is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
- Professional, diplomatic and confident when engaging with senior leaders and external partners.
