Role Overview:
The Purchase Executive is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring automotive spare parts, tyres, batteries, lubricants, workshop consumables, and maintenance-related services required for workshop operations across the Car Rental Group. The role ensures timely availability of parts and services while maintaining cost efficiency, quality standards, and strong supplier performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement & Sourcing
- Source and procure automotive spare parts, tyres, batteries, lubricants, workshop consumables, and maintenance-related services.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing and optimum value.
- Identify alternative suppliers and products to improve cost efficiency and supply continuity.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and commercial conditions with suppliers.
- Issue purchase orders and monitor order execution through to delivery completion.
Technical & Operational Support
- Coordinate with workshops, fleet maintenance teams, and operations to understand spare parts requirements.
- Verify part numbers, specifications, compatibility, and technical requirements prior to procurement.
- Maintain records of frequently used parts and recommended supplier lists.
Supplier Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with OEMs, authorized dealers, and aftermarket suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance against pricing, quality, delivery, and service-level benchmarks.
- Resolve supply issues, warranty claims, and discrepancies with vendors.
Cost Control & Compliance
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and approval procedures.
- Analyze spending trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Support contract negotiations and annual rate agreements with key suppliers.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and reporting.
Skills and Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Business, Supply Chain, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
- Professional procurement certification is an advantage.
- 3–5 years of experience in automotive spare parts procurement.
- Experience in car rental, fleet management, automotive dealership, workshop, or transportation industry preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive spare parts sourcing and supplier networks in the UAE.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Good understanding of automotive components, part numbering systems, and maintenance requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage urgent operational requirements.
